Lego recreations (of sorts) of some classic arcade games.

A few notes from John Carmack about the progress (as well as some of the technical hurdles) on bringing Doom over to the iPhone platform.
Quite interesting from a development perspective in terms of what’s needed in translating a game over (technical as well as design hurdles).

An awesome vector version of the loading screen to the C64 version of Arkanoid.
One of many which the guys over at the Daily Rodent have been putting up recently (most of them are from C64 games, with the occasional one or two from the Spectrum versions instead).

Sweet. Just the thing for a more pixellated existance!
As a fan of independent gaming, I’m a big fan of the work the Introversion guys put out. Whilst they’ve put out companion discs for earlier titles, this is the first time that anyone has ever been able to put out development documentation from a top-tier console title (in this case being the XBLA version of Darwinia+Multiwinia).
They’ve released a bunch of documentation - from snippets of source code, Emails about the project, Project plans.
A lot of interesting material for anyone interested in what goes on in the back-scenes of games development…
