One of many which the guys over at the Daily Rodent have been putting up recently (most of them are from C64 games, with the occasional one or two from the Spectrum versions instead).

Make Video Game Covers Classy
Sorry for it being a mere forum thread - but it’s a bunch of work by various SA forumites in creating retro styled box art for various games (old & new).
Some of the results are really quite artistically cool and worth checking out (be warned, it’s a bit of a long thread!)
